We’re in the calm before the storm. With DC schools back in session, it feels like this is the last week before the congressional maelstrom returns with funding fights and government shutdown threats. I’d also keep an eye on whether President Donald Trump escalates the battle over federal spending by using pocket rescissions (here’s Gregory Korte back in June explaining what that means). If they’re coming, they’re likely coming soon.
