Ethiopian Central Bank Chief Resigns After Pulling Off Reforms

National Bank of Ethiopia Governor Mamo Mihretu has resigned after serving in the role for 2 1/2 years during which he helped implement extensive reforms to overhaul the nation’s economy.

He is leaving government to “pursue other passions and tackle other challenges,” Mamo said in a statement on his X account on Wednesday.
