Indian Households See Inflation Slowing Over Next Year
Indian households expect a significant decline in price pressures over the next year across all major product categories, including food, according to surveys conducted by the country’s central bank.
The Reserve Bank of India’s household inflation expectations survey showed that the median perception of current inflation declined by 50 basis points in July compared with May. Expectations for inflation over the next three months and one year fell by 60 and 50 basis points, respectively.
