Pakistan’s Rupee Sees Longest Streak of Gains in Over a Year

Pakistan’s rupee recorded its longest daily streak of gains since April last year after the central bank said it will slow buying of dollars to build its foreign exchange reserves.

The currency gained for a 10th straight day to 282.5732 per dollar on Tuesday, according to central bank data. The rupee recouped losses made in the first few weeks of July to end the month on a stronger footing against the dollar, also bolstered by army officials holding meetings with banks and foreign exchange bodies.
