Intesa’s Profit Beats Estimates on Net Interest Income
Intesa Sanpaolo SpA’s second quarter-results beat estimates as lending income was higher than expected.
Italy’s biggest bank by assets reported net income of €2.60 billion ($3 billion) for the three months through June, according to a statement on Wednesday, exceeding a Bloomberg-compiled analyst consensus of €2.45 billion. Net interest income came in at €3.80 billion, also beating estimates.
