Frontier-market bonds should deliver robust returns over the coming quarter, benefiting from receding geopolitical risks, dollar weakness and elevated gold prices, according to strategists at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

“Frontier local markets did not sell off much during the period of heightened geopolitical risks in June, and we expect that a summer of relative calm will further see them outperform, given very high carry still on offer,” strategists including Ayomide O Mejabi wrote in a note.
