Wildfire Near Athens Forces Residents to Flee as Property Burnt
A wildfire on the coast south of Athens prompted evacuations as some properties were destroyed.
About 90 firefighters, supported by eight planes and five helicopters, are tackling the blaze in the area of Palaia Fokaia and Thimari, around 50 kilometers (31 miles) south of the Greek capital. Police have shut access roads, while local TV footage shows several homes burning.
