Mediobanca May Delay Shareholder Vote on Banca Generali Bid

Mediobanca called a board meeting on Sunday to decide whether to postpone an investor meeting to endorse its plan to takeover Banca Generali SpA, according to people familiar with the situation, who asked not to be identified while discussing private information.

A potential delay of the shareholder meeting scheduled for Monday could have been determined by the count of votes which may show investors opposing a deal for Banca Generali could be ahead, newspaper La Repubblica said on Sunday.
