Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras voiced strong support for European banking takeovers, welcoming UniCredit SpA’s recent move to double its holding in one of the largest Greek banks.

“I’m very happy that we are now continuing this policy of cross-border transactions,” Stournaras told Bloomberg TV.
