Ares Pulls In $20 Billion as Investors Demand Private Credit
Ares Management Corp. showed that momentum for private credit is far from waning, after posting record demand across its vanilla and opportunistic strategies in the first quarter.
Investor interest in credit helped push Ares’ managed assets up 27% to a total of almost $546 billion in the first quarter, according to a statement Monday. Ares raised just over $20 billion in the first three months of the year, a first-quarter record for the firm, with more than half of that flowing to its credit group.
