Genial, Warren Mull Stock-Trading Alliance With Banco do Brasil

Two Brazilian brokerages, Genial Investimentos Corretora de Valores Mobiliarios SA and Warren Corretora de Valores Mobiliarios e Cambio Ltda., are among firms mulling a partnership with Banco do Brasil SA to provide equity-trading services to individual investors, people familiar with the matter said.

Banco do Brasil, the government-owned lender that’s the nation’s second-biggest bank by assets, hired Citigroup Inc. to find a partner for the business, and Genial and Warren were among several firms that received invitations to look into a deal, the people said, asking not to be identified because the discussions are private.
