Turkish Executive Faces Jail for Ramadan Email, Anadolu Says
The former chief executive of Turkish conglomerate Zorlu Holding faces more than five years in prison over an internal email he sent about the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, according to state media.
Prosecutors in Istanbul have charged Cem Koksal with attempting to prevent employees from exercising freedom of belief and expression, state-run Anadolu Agency reported. They’re seeking a sentence of up to five years and three months.
