UK Startup That Uses DNA to Gauge Biodiversity Raises $25 Million

Photographer: Dado Galdieri/BloombergNatureMetrics Ltd, a UK startup that helps clients measure their impact on nature, has raised $25 million (£20.4 million) in a Series B funding round that the company believes will enable it to expand into self-sustaining profitability.
The funding round was led by Just Climate — an investment group run by former US Vice President Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management — as well as EDF Pulse Ventures and Monaco ReOcean Fund, with support from previous investors.
