Helmut Schlesinger, Bundesbank Leader in 90s Crisis, Dies at 100

Helmut Schlesinger, who as president of Germany’s Bundesbank battled inflation and tensions over monetary policy following the reunification of his country in 1990, has died. He was 100.

He died on Dec. 23, the Bundesbank said in a statement on Friday.
