At some point as I ascended a tiny Swiss byway hedged by ice fields and sheer cliffs, it hit me: This is James Bond territory.

I was driving Bentley Motors Ltd.’s first hybrid coupe on a twisty, dark ribbon of mountain road. The scene reminded me of the Furka Pass that Bond conquered in Goldfinger: You know the one—straddling the Alps, the route encircles a quaint hotel set in the elbow of the paper clip pass.
