Istanbul City Retail Inflation Hits Highest Since December 2022

Istanbul’s annual retail inflation accelerated to the highest level since December 2022, as price increases in Turkey are expected to decline in the second half of the year after reaching a peak in May.

Retail prices in the country’s biggest city rose to an annual 82.2% in May from 78.8% in April, according to data published by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. The monthly increase was 3.59%, down from 4.89% the previous month.
