Mukherjee Sees Indian Economic Growth Picking Up in Second Half

The Reserve Bank of India’s decision today to raise interest rates by 25 basis points leaves scope for economic growth to pick up in the second half of the year, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in an e-mailed statement today.
The central bank’s policy will help the country get back to a more “comfortable inflation situation,” Mukherjee said.
