With the R1S, Rivian essentially took its pickup truck and put an SUV top on it. It has virtually the same chassis, battery options and electric motor, plus the same software platform to run everything. In exchange for slightly less range and towing capability, the Rivian R1S offers space for seven passengers in its three rows of seating. What's unique: The R1S has a removable glass panoramic roof for driving en plein air.
